IN our recent trip to Los Angeles, California, we had the chance to have a phone conversation with KC Concepcion’s dad, Gabby, who’s based in San Francisco. Gabby now works as a GAP executive there. He started working for the company after graduation (from Lincoln University) last year. Gabby's booking agent, Alfred Yumol, said the actor graduated cum laude.

"Kahit may stable job na si Gabby, he still does shows on the side. Meron siyang show sa LA on Nov. 20. In demand pa rin si Gabby among the Filipino communities here," volunteered Alfred. We asked Gabby if he’s still interested in doing films and he said he is, but shooting must be done abroad. Of course, we all know that Gabby can't come home until he is cleared from the case filed against him by ex-wife, Jenny Syquia, with whom he also has a daughter, Chloie.

We also asked him about KC (his daughter by estranged wife, Sharon Cuneta). He said, "I miss her (KC) a lot and I’m very proud of her. Even if I don’t see her, I love her and I thank Sharon for raising her the way she is. I hope to prove to her how much I love her someday.

Gabby is aware that Sen. Kiko Pangilinan (Sharon’s husband) plans to adopt KC. After all, he (Kiko) treats her like his own daughter. "Everybody knows that KC is my daughter and from the day she was born, she's already been a Concepcion.
